Facelift Surgery in Delhi - Dr Rajat Gupta
As we age, the skin begins to lose elasticity, and facial tissues lose volume. Eventually, this results in “jowls” on the lower face, deep wrinkles, and loose skin on the neck. While this is a natural part of growing older, patients who are bothered by these signs of aging may find a facelift to be a good solution.
What is face lifting?
A facelift, also known as rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that lifts and tightens these facial tissues. Let's learn more about what is a facelift surgery and when one should undergo a facelift?
When one should consider Facelift surgery?
If one has excess sagging of skin, the cheeks are coming down, the jaw is hanging or neck skin hanging as well if one has a fatty face. These are the options in which non-surgical facelift will not give many results. For the rejuvenating face, one needs facelift surgery.
How Facelift Surgery is done ??
The surgery is done by an incision which is taken just above the ear, then it's taken along the ear and travels back behind the ear towards the scalp. The skin is lifted up and underlying tissues are tightened up in order to get long-lasting and uniform tightness. Along with the patient might need to undergo liposuction especially in the neck. This fat might be used in the other areas of the face. Later the extra skin is removed and sutures in such a way so that the scars won't be visible.
There will be some swelling and bruising after the procedure. The swelling will be down after 10 days and the sutures will be removed after 7 days. The patient can see the results immediately after the surgery.
